Our wild
BabyMoon.

A mountain weekend for Tamim, Marjan, and their little passenger—mapped, charged, and paced with room to rest and take it all in.

The route

See the whole weekend.
Know exactly where you are.

Tap a marker for the plan, use your live position to find the nearest stop, and open turn-by-turn directions when it is time to move.

Checking connection Make the BabyMoon map reception-proof

Save the 22 MB road and expanded Yosemite detail map before the trip.

Once the offline badge is green, the basemap, routes, photos, GPS checkpoints, and lists work without reception. Weather and external directions still need a signal.

Charge where it counts.

90%DEPARTURE TARGET
01 Friday · around 2:00 PM · Concord

Leave home at 90%

Load the full route in Tesla navigation before departure. Let the car add a stop only if live energy, traffic, temperature, or speed makes one useful.

02 Friday · only if useful

Merced comfort + charge

Use Smart & Final's 12-stall, 250 kW site if Tesla requests energy—or if a comfortable food and restroom break would make the drive better.

03 Friday · Tenaya

Primary overnight charge

After check-in, use Tenaya's eight on-site Superchargers, rated up to 150 kW, and bring the car near 90% for Saturday's mountain driving.

04 Saturday · around 5:15 PM

Charge before heading home

Return to Tenaya after Mariposa Grove. Charge until Tesla predicts a comfortable Concord arrival buffer, then let Trip Planner add Oakhurst or Merced only if needed.

The car makes the final call. These percentages are planning targets, not range promises. Follow the Model Y's live navigation and preconditioning guidance.
